Who is the Auckland Marathon Training Group suitable for?
This is suitable for any type of runner or athlete from your sub 3 hour flyer to your rear pack finisher.
We've got different versions of the programme to suit different abilities.
The other major win with us is we'll review your training and set up your pace and heart rate zones that are specific to you- so you can be confident that the training is going to be optimized to your ability and for best race day outcomes! 🏃🏽
How much is the Auckland Marathon Training Group?
Just 1 payment of $60 (NZD, Includes GST). No ongoing subscription, and the payment is the same whether you join 16 weeks out or 8 weeks out- the earlier you join, the more benefits you get and the more value you receive!
When does the training start?
The training started on the 1st July, however you can still join the programme anytime between 1st July and Sunday 31st August (8 weeks prior to race day). In our experience of training 100s of runners to marathons and ultra marathons, the earlier you join the programme, the better your race outcome will be.
Is this Online or In Person?
Your programme is delivered online utilising the Training Peaks App- which is where we've crafted your programme. For those who wish, you'll also be invited into our CMF RUN CLUB community Discord where you can connect with all the CMF Coaching team and other CMF runners in your area. ✊
What is the Training Peaks App?
TrainingPeaks is a powerful coaching app where you’ll receive your weekly Auckland Marathon training programme, track your progress, and stay motivated—so every run has purpose and your race-day goals become reality. It syncs with your GPS watch (Garmin, Coros, Apple etc), making it easy to follow workouts and log your runs automatically. ✅
What is the Discord App?
This is the chat app we use to galvanise the CMF COMMUNITY!
We use it to deliver supporting info related to your Auckland Marathon training, organise Group Runs by region (for those that wish), general banter, and info sharing for all things running by our informed community and wider coaching group.

What are the Discount Codes?

Can I message a CMF COACH directly for queries relating to my Auckland Marathon Training Group Programme?
Yes absolutely! If you have a training query that you don't want to ask within the group environment your absolutely welcome to message your coach 1:1 direct on discord. 🤗
Can I get extra 1:1 support from my Coach if I feel I need it as I work through the programme? Eg- Plan adjustment due to a niggle, or race day pacing plan? Customized fueling advice?
Yes absolutely, we don't want to leave any runner unsupported if things pop up along the way, so we've made optional 1:1 Coaching Services available to you that your welcome to choose along the way.
We usually find most individuals are perfectly fine without engaging these services as the Training Group Programme and support is so good- but they are there if you need them and your CMF TEAM is here to help! 😊
Can I get a refund if I don't like the training?
This is a non refundable training offering as its a huge value offering! Else where for less than this you'll be paying $15-20 per week.
Here, we are offering the training to you for a one off cost of $60, which includes us (yes, as humans 😏) manually reviewing your training and setting your Heart Rate and Pace Zones in the onboarding phase. That service alone is worth more than $60!
We offer this Training Group every year for Auckland Marathon (and only a couple other events per year) as we're passionate about Community and helping runners and athletes reach their goals!
Does the training programme include Runners Strength sessions?
Yes! Delivered by our very own in-house Run & Strength Coach Charlotte Milne, we schedule various Strength routines for you to follow. These are a combination of follow along videos that include music and have been professionally edited, and also other routines that you follow on the Training Peaks dedicated Strength builder that Char has also crafted.
Why is this such great value? What's the catch!?
Yes, this is great value! And rest assure, the quality of training and support you receive is second to none! We've trained 100s of runners and athletes to Auckland Marathon success over the years from sub 2:40:00 Full Marathoners to rear pack +5.5 hour Marathoners, so if we were not any good, then we wouldn't still be here!
This is great value as we want to lower the barrier for individuals to be able to access a specific programme tailored to them, as well as coach support. 😊
We usually only do 3 Training Group offerings per year so this a great opportunity, and we look forward to having you join us for your Auckland Marathon training!
